At the beginning of the day, the team drove out to the Chezy Championship. We started the day with some of our coding members changing our autonomous code. Other members worked on various tasks, from working on the robot to taking photos to scouting. Beginning the competition in our first match, we were off to a rocky start with technical difficulties in the controls of our robot. After an in-depth inspection, we discovered that a wire was broken, causing the sensor data to be off. Quickly recovering, the team fixed the problem and was back on track.
We competed in a couple more matches and finished the day off in 10th place. Throughout the playoffs, we went between 8th-14th place. Reaching alliances, we settled in 11th place. The alliance selection began with high hopes of becoming an alliance captain, but we did not accomplish that goal. However, the first-pick team decided to offer us the fourth spot in their alliance, which we graciously accepted. Throughout the playoffs, we were on a winning streak all the way to the finals. In the final round, tensions were high as we waited to see who would win the Chezy Championship. The competition started with 42 teams, of which we were guessed to rank 41. After a few exciting rounds, we won the competition with team 1678 Citrus Circuits, 5199 Robot Dolphins, and 254 Cheesy Poofs. Full of twists and turns that conclude the recap of the 2023 Chezy Championships!
